How to add users and assign roles

Adding users

  1. Head to Users in the left navbar

  2. Select the 'New user' button

  3. Add their name and email address

  4. If using SSO, leave the password field blank. If not, add a password.

  5. Add some roles for the user - this can also be done later, after they're set up

šŸ’” If you're using SSO, remember to not set a password and to also add them to your SSO provider.

Assigning roles

  1. Head to Users in the left navbar

  2. Select a user you want to give roles to

  3. Click on 'add' and proceed to add all the roles you want the user to have

šŸ’” If all available roles have been added, the 'Add' button will no longer be visible. Instead, it will say 'All available roles added'.

Default roles

Flinq has some default roles that you can assign to your users.

Role

Description

Admin

Can import statements and make payments

Profile admin

Can create and maintain profiles

Profile viewer

Can only view profiles

Office admin

Can manage the office settings

Organisation admin

Can manage the organisation settings and create new offices

Approver

Can approve payments

You can also create custom roles to suit your business needs.
