How to approve a Fixed Term Deposit

Review a pending request and record the required independent approval.

Katrin Erb Written by Katrin Erb Updated Published

Approve an Awaiting Approval deposit after independently checking the request, client instruction and funding route.

Separation of duties

You cannot approve a request that you created or submitted through the client portal. Another eligible approver must complete the action.

An eligible approver sees the request as Awaiting Approval with an Action Required indicator.

Approve the request

  1. Open the approval notification, or go to Fixed Term Deposits > FTDs and filter by Awaiting Approval or Requires Action.

  2. Open the deposit and review its client, amount, term, value and maturity dates, preferred and placement banks, funding account, requester, portal reviewer and notes.

  3. Check the supporting documents and record timeline where they are part of the approval evidence.

  4. Select Approve FTD, review the approval summary and confirm the approval.

Flinq records the approver and approval time, changes the status to Requested and notifies the request creator or portal requester according to their notification preferences.

The approval action is not available

Confirm that the deposit is Awaiting Approval, FTD approval is enabled for the office, you have Approve FTDs, and you are not the creator or portal requester. If another user has already acted, refresh the record and review its timeline.
