How to create a Fixed Term Deposit request
Prepare an internal deposit request with funding, charges and supporting evidence.
Create an internal Fixed Term Deposit request and record the placement, funding and fee details that reviewers and the bank instruction will use.
Before you start
Confirm the client instruction, placement bank, currency, amount, term and value date.
Know where the funds are held and whether the funding account uses a capital and income split.
Confirm that the relevant corporate standing settlement instruction (SSI), deposit pool and charge account are configured when the route needs them.
Prepare supporting files through an approved secure channel.
Create the request
Go to Fixed Term Deposits > FTDs and select New Fixed Term Deposit.
In Bank & Currency, choose the placement bank, currency and branch when the bank operates in more than one country.
In Details, enter the deposit amount, term, value date, client name and optional internal reference and book. Review the calculated maturity date and any indicative rate.
Complete any bank-specific Compliance confirmations shown for the selected bank.
In Funding, choose whether to use a corporate SSI or enter client account details directly. Record a different source bank or deposit pool when the funds are not already at the placement bank.
In Additional Info, add an administration fee or cash management charge (CMC) only when the required charge account is configured. Add responsible staff, internal notes, comments for the bank and supporting documents where needed.
In Review, check the client, bank, currency, amount, dates, term, funding route, charges and document list.
Select Request FTD.
The request form keeps the placement details and calculated maturity date together before you continue.
On the final review step, compare the complete request with the client instruction before selecting Request FTD.
What happens next
Flinq creates an FTD ID and opens the record. If the office requires FTD approval, the status is Awaiting Approval and eligible approvers are notified. Otherwise, the status is Requested.
A bank instruction can be downloaded only after any required approval and when the request has a placement bank and funding account. Downloading it records the send-to-bank transition and changes Requested to Pending Confirmation.
The request cannot be submitted
Read the message beside the affected field. Common causes include a missing charge account, an unavailable corporate SSI for the bank and currency, incomplete funding details, an inaccessible managed entity or a maturity date that is not after the value date. Correct the configuration or choose a workable route before submitting.
