What Flinq does

Understand Flinq's main product areas, the information it manages and the teams that use it.

Katrin Erb Written by Katrin Erb Updated Published

Flinq brings banking data, cash visibility and interest-management workflows into one workspace. The features available to you depend on the current office and your permissions.

Banking data

Flinq imports statement files from your banks and turns them into structured bank accounts, balances and transactions. Data can be uploaded manually or collected through a configured automated importer.

Cash visibility and reporting

The office dashboard combines statement and payment information so treasury teams can review balances, how funds are distributed across banks and currencies, and interest results. Books provide an optional way to group accounts and Fixed Term Deposits for operational and reporting views.

Interest Pooling

Interest pools group eligible accounts for one bank and currency. Flinq applies interest rates from their specified effective dates and deducts cash management charges, which are fees for managing the cash arrangement. It then calculates payment runs, which contain the client interest amounts and payment instructions for selected pools and dates, and can reconcile those expected amounts against credits received in the management account, which is the pool account used to receive or fund interest.

Organisation and security

Organisation and Office Settings control defaults and available products. Roles control what each user can see and do. Flinq also supports Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) single sign-on, two-factor authentication, audit history, notification preferences and application programming interface (API) tokens that allow approved integrations to access only the Flinq data and actions permitted by the selected permissions.
